Episode 11 - November 12th, 2009 - Dirt Crew Recordings Showcase w/Peter Gyselears

Here's something new. . . and deeeeep! Starting this November, once a month on the show we are going to showcase a label and share the sounds with the MHYH family. This outing spotlights the deep house and tech music of Dirt Crew Recordings Germany. The first hour is a selection of tunes I mixed from various Dirt Crew releases mingled with those of a similar vein. The second hour is a tight, heady session from label co-founder Peter Gyselaers @ Club Dice Berlin on October 10th, 2009. Along with his partner Felix Eder, Peter and the Dirt Crew stable of artists have locked down over 5 years of quality deep house and tech tracks. This episode zeroes in on and celebrates their success. Congratulations to Dirt Crew! Enjoy the mix.

Episode 10 - October 1st, 2009 - Ryan Wilber

Ryan always delivers. Nuff said. Most of the time his sets sound like some kind of a "How To Kill It 101" class that IMO a lot of dj's ought to enroll themselves in. With that in mind he needed a show all to himself to flex a 2 hour lesson plan. So take notes kiddies, because there's no disappointments here. This mix is heavy, hard, and in your face with some briefly deep moments and very rare classic dance records, especially in the 2nd hour of the mix. I wish I had a tracklist for this mix, because I'd like to go out and find every one of these tunes for myself! 100% pure rave shit to blow out the stacks. Enjoy!

Episode 9 - July 9th, 2009 - Ornette

Every so often, I go thru a nostalgic phase and start hitting up used vinyl to add to the collection. I have a soft spot for stuff from 92-96 and remember all of the good times I had partying in the big warehouses. I honestly think music was a lot better back then, it hit a peak in the underground where it started bubbling up to the surface and trickling in the mainstream little by little. The more popular the scene, the less cutting edge it became. More and more parties, producers, and dj's appeared as as a result what was once a movement became watered down in every way. Disappointing.
Anyhow, this is a cd length excerpt from the July 9th webcast when I got into one of those phases, remembering "the way we used to do it." There's some proggy bits and some real vinyl finds in here, but also a sprinkling of newer digi releases that made the cut. Fortunately, I've included a list so you can find em on your own. ;)
Enjoy!
Tracklisting:

Milton Jackson - Rhythm Track - Freerange
Ransom - My Dance - Loaded
Sunscreem - Love You More (Sunshine Valentine) - Columbia
Gat Decor - Passion - Addictive
Violet Force - Planet E - Logic Records
Two Shiny Heads - Dub House Disco (Disco Dub) - Guerilla
Armand Van Helden - The Funk Phenomena - Henry Street
Truxton - All Nite - Form
The Ron Allen Sound Experience - Get on Up (Groovy Disco Mix) - Strobe
Biboulakis - Reason or Passion (Giano Mix) - Tight
Fresh And Low - The Way You Feel - Tronicsole
Ramon Tapia - Mi Esposa (Lachlan's Edit) - Great Stuff
Solo - Congaloid - Dirtybird
The Ron Allen Sound Experience - Say it Loud - Strobe
Track Assasin - Tracky Fingerz - Catalyst
